It’s hard to believe, but this month marks five years since Onyx CenterSource became a standalone company. And I couldn’t be more proud of how far we have come.
When we left Pegasus Solutions on April 22, 2013, we had just 30 people in our Dallas headquarters. Today we have increased our resources tenfold, with more than 350 employees in Texas and across our global hubs in Seville, Spain; Tonsberg, Norway; and Manila, Philippines.
We are a global leader in business-to-business payments and business intelligence solutions for the hospitality industry. As a result of the trust you have placed in us, we have significantly grown the business in terms of customers, platforms and technologies. Our growth has allowed the company to reinvest our earnings to ensure we meet the needs of the industry.
We are a company in motion. In 2017 we launched GroupPay, an industry-first reservation fulfillment, payment and commission solution that brings cost savings, transparency, and business intelligence to the groups, meetings and events sector. As thrilled as we are about GroupPay, we are equally excited to introduce new analytical data services and business-to-business payment solutions that go beyond traditional commission payment processing. You will be hearing more about these innovative products later this year.
To celebrate these many milestones, our employees across the globe are making Monday, April 23 a day of giving back to their respective communities. I strongly believe that we have a responsibility to make a positive impact in the towns and cities in which we live and work. I also believe our customers appreciate the benefits of our socially invested employees.
In addition, in honor of Earth Day and on behalf of you our clients and partners, Onyx will donate to the Rainforest Alliance, an international nonprofit organization with 30 years of experience in protecting our planet’s forest ecosystems. The Rainforest Alliance works to build strong forests, healthy agricultural landscapes and thriving communities.
